Breckland is situated in the heart of Norfolk. There s so much to do in Breckland, such as visiting parks and gardens, or enjoying the tranquillity of the countryside. Some of the brilliant places to visit in Breckland are:

Bradenham Hall Gardens and Arboretum Altogether the Arboretum and Gardens are 27 acres. Bradenham Hall Gardens and Arboretum are extremely popular and can be seen in magazines, such as House and Garden . The gardens can only be visited on certain dates; however appointments can also be made to view the gardens.

Waterworld This is located at Breckland Leisure Centre. There are 3 swimming pools, each is different, there are waves, flumes and rapids. Waterworld is very enjoyable. As well as the swimming pools, there is a fitness centre, yoga, sports hall and aerobics.

Swaffham Museum This museum is located Swaffham, on London Street, which is part of Breckland. This old building was built in 1775. The museum is mainly about the history of Swaffham and surrounding areas. The museum is has an education service, for use of both students and teachers. For more information call 01760 721230 or email enquiries@swaffhammuseum.co.uk. The post code for satellite navigation is PE37 8HG.

East England Military Museum This charitable museum was founded in 2005. There are displays of military equipment as well as vehicles. The displays are extremely old. For more information, email info@militarymuseumweb.org or call 01842 8906.

Thetford Forest This beautiful forest is amazing for a fun day out with the family. There s so much to see, with a variety of plants and wildlife, Thetford Forest will never have a dull moment. Thetford forest is lovely for a peaceful long walk. In Thetford Forest there is also a refreshments area which is in the oak building. Thetford Forest is situated between Norfolk and Suffolk.

Grimes Graves this Neolithic mine is unique, as it is the only flint mine of its kind open for visiting in Britain. Grimes Graves has plenty of history behind it, there s so much to find out. Grimes Graves can be exciting and educational, perfect place to visit with the kids. The opening times vary throughout the year. The entrance fee is, adults: £3.00, Kids: £1.50, Concession: £2.60, Family Ticket: £7.50. Groups of 11 and upwards can receive a 15 discount. Children under five years old will not be allowed to enter. Some facilities at Grimes Graves are parking and disabled toilets.

I highly recommend each of these places to visit for a day out, whether it is with family or friends. Each of these places has something unique and is definitely worth a visit. Each location is easy to get to, and the public transport surrounding the areas is usually good. Each of the places above will surely provide you with a fun filled day as well as a memorable experience. As well as these places there are plenty of other places throughout Breckland that will provide you with a fun day. So no matter which area of Breckland you are in, there will always be something fun for you to do.
