The Smokey Mountains inside the Great Smokey Mountains National Park is one of the major tourist destinations between Tennessee and North Carolina. It offers a ton of activities and attractions.

The Great Smoky Mountains rise up along Tennessee North Carolina border in southeastern US. A sub range of Appalachian Mountains they are known as Smoky or Smokey Mountains or even simply as Smokies. The Great Smokey Mountains National Park attracts millions of visitors every year – making it the major tourist attraction in between regions. You can enjoy bicycling through famous Cades Cove; go camping in the Smokies wilderness for some backpacking adventure; try angler fishing on more than 700 miles of streams; go hiking on more than 800 miles of trails that range from multi day backpacking treks to quiet walkways; experience horseback riding on over hundreds of miles of drive in horse camps and horse trails; enjoy picnicking sessions with the whole family; and check out sightseeing venues for historic buildings, waterfalls, wildlife and wildflowers.
