For the European tourist with an eye for a bargain, Calahonda, on the Spanish Costa Del Sol has become a mecca over recent years. Whilst a village technically, one may perhaps without difficulty mistake it for a town. It indeed has everything a town has to offer.

One of Calahonda’s jewels, and merely 5 minutes away on the coast road, is the delightful Puerto Cabopino. Being only approximately 100 metres wide, what it lacks in size it gains in charm. There are countless restaurants and café’s in the port catering for all tastes and pocket sizes. A good position for a vacation photograph. We have sat there on lots of an afternoon. Next to the port there is a wonderful beach.

Leisure plays a main role in Calahonda lifestyle. since an example there are tennis courts and a fitness centre for those who like to be active. For those that like a stroll there are at least 10 golf courses within a slight radius. There is also a vast amount of water sports available to participate in. The majority of the Calahonda bars are in the multi-storey commercial centre, El Zoco. since for restaurants Calahonda boasts at least 45 restaurants and cafeterias

Where to stay? We recommend staying at Las Palmeras. Sat majestically on a hillside providing panoramic views to the sea, Las Palmeras is a brand new community. We are delighted to be able to give for your holiday scores of different types of well-appointed rental apartments. Ranging from 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, (sleeping 6 persons), to 3 bed roomed penthouses these individualist privately owned apartments bestow comfortable living 24 x 7. The apartments are of a enormously generous proportion, countless being approximately 110sm internally and having balconies of up to 42.5sm. loads of apartments have underground garages with private parking spaces.

If you don’t want to use your car you possibly will catch the mini land train which runs down into Calahonda and back at a small cost. If you have children they will love the experience.

Here is ‘Sea View' a wonderful example of a Las Palmeras apartment

Calahonda is merely 30 minutes from Malaga Airport and most low cost airlines will get you there from the UK in less than 2.5 hours. weather wise anticipate sunshine 12 months of the year. It will rain in winter but there is much to do and so see whenever you visit! Why not visit Selwo Animal Park at Marbella only 20 minutes away, or see the Apes in Gibraltar and do a number of duty free shopping, or see how the rich and famous play at Marbella and Puerto Banus.

Interested? We suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.
